First thoughts on finding out:
I remember seeing two bright blobs on the screen and the woman performing the scan then asking if we had had a scan before. Thinking she meant have you ever had a scan before, and having already had 1 child, we answered "yes", to which she replied,
"So you know it's......"
"We know it's what?", we replied
"Well.... you know it's......."
"What???"
"You know...... That it's twins?"
At this point I remember it all as a fog and couldn't work out why she was talking about twins to us. What relevance could twins possibly have with us???! Oh boy....
Me: Elated first, in shock later, hoping from then on that they were going to be girls!
Debbie: Shocked, burst into tears, totally inconsolable, elated later!
First thoughts on seeing them:
Wonderful! Proud as a peacock, (or should that be a Beacock?), absolutely thrilled. And they were girls! Magic!
