What a marvellous invention these are! Basically it's just a shaped injection moulded baby seat that enables you to sit babies, who are too young to sit upright themselves, safely and securely.
Good points:
They give you a desperately needed freehand, (especially when you have two or more)
They are heavy so remain very securely in place
The seats are quite deep so the baby remains firmly seated
Easily wiped down and cleaned
Nice range of colours
Really support the babies well with quite a high back
Fairly high re-sale value
Bad points:
They have a limited useful period. As soon as ours were old enough to sit up themselves the Bumbos were redundant
They are very expensive for what you get. Check out ebay or other twins parents for second hand ones. They are very hardwearing so second hand ones tend to look as good as new.
They are not motorised.... trust me, as a Dad the temptation to fit wheels and a remote control to them and play baby bumper cars was hard to bear!
Check out their website here, and Google for UK stockists. Expect to pay about £30-£35 for new from the web, or roughly £20 + postage, (remember they are heavy though so about £7-£8 additional), second hand from ebay where you will always find some for sale.
